Hare + Klein is an experienced and highly regarded studio of interior designers who offer a comprehensive, personalised and bespoke design service, involving clients in the creative process.   We are committed to responding to our clients’ brief and lifestyle, and creating original, authentic and individual interiors that stand the test of time.

Our multi-award winning practice has built a reputation for approaching projects in a considered and collaborative way. We offer a full interior design service, from concept through to completion, delivering professional well-documented solutions that exceed expectations and add value to projects. Our attention to detail is evident through the entire design and decorative process.

We work with clients directly and collaborate with architects, landscapers, builders and artisans towards creative, intelligent, practical and cohesive interiors – be they residential, commercial or hospitality projects. Our many awards and diverse portfolio attest to our experience and talent.

Our design philosophy is embedded in our strong conviction that an interior should balance aesthetic elegance with layers of visual generosity. Woven into our work is texture, warmth, refined comfort and a sense of the client’s personality.

Explorers, Collectors, Traders

Hand-crafted artefacts, ancient or modern, all have stories, either of their history or of the maker. In a mass-produced world, artisan products are unique, each one slightly differs from the other as the hand of the maker is never entirely consistent. Amatuli have collected an impressive variety of artefacts from all over the world, working with craftsmen, supporting projects and encouraging entrepreneurship. As a modest collector of primitive art over many years, I loved meeting Mark Valentine and hearing some of the stories of the adventures he wraps around his collecting.
