This older Sydney home, perched on the side of a hill overlooking the harbour needed some renovations, a small extension and a general update. The owners had lived here for many years and were clear about how they wanted their home to work for them. So the brief was succinct, making our role in redesigning the interiors and furnishings that much easier.
The construction took approximately 8 months and was completed about 4 years ago by Gosse Brothers. The back of the house has a contemporary extension including the new kitchen, casual dining/family room as well as a beautifully fitted wine cellar for the owner’s carefully curated collection of fine wines. All the bathrooms were renovated and rooms reconfigured to maximise views and space. We enjoyed working with our client’s collections of antiques and contemporary art, influencing the aesthetic and creating a unique, interesting and sometimes quirky interior.
