Renovating Bathrooms

Creating a beautiful and functional bathroom within an existing house is more challenging than starting from scratch in a new home. But then, we love a challenge!

It is usually, but not always, better to leave the plumbing where it is, especially the toilet, so one of the first things we do is to ask a builder for advice if we think it’s important to move things around, budget permitting.  Some of our most rewarding bathroom renovations however have been where we have had to work within existing parameters and have managed to completely transform a dated and non-functional bathroom to a special and inspiring room.

Of course, you can never isolate the bathroom from the rest of the home so the renovation must be in keeping with the design language of the house.  Having said that, you may know that Hare + Klein has a special obsession with making guest cloakrooms a surprising and delightful experience, so we sometimes take a bit of artistic license in this small room – for the WOW moment.
