Set on a cliff with uninterrupted sightlines from ocean to shoreline, this newly built home was conceived as a quiet response to its coastal setting. The brief centred on creating a calm, refined residential interior that reflects the rhythm and tonality of the sea.
Our interpretation led to a light, relaxed interior design grounded in a restrained palette of washed greys, soft taupe and layered whites, punctuated with deeper charcoal tones that echo the rocks and seaweed along the shoreline. Texture plays a central role, with materials selected for their natural quality and subtle depth, resulting in a home that feels open, uncluttered and inherently connected to place.
The sculptural curves and organic forms of the architecture provided clear direction for the interior language. Within the narrow, multi-level footprint, gentle shifts in colour and material create subtle distinctions between spaces while maintaining cohesion throughout. The result is a bespoke coastal interior that feels serene, fluid and quietly expressive, designed to sit comfortably within its dramatic landscape.
