Cloud Apartment

This 120-square-metre apartment is defined by its extraordinary outlook, with uninterrupted views across the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour. When work commenced, the interior had already been stripped back, allowing flexibility in the space planning while working within the existing plumbing constraints.

Every part of the floorplan was carefully resolved to maximise storage and functionality. The redesigned interior incorporates an entry lobby, laundry, main bedroom with walk-in robe and ensuite, an open living, dining and kitchen zone with integrated bar, a study, bathroom and guest bedroom. Despite the level of accommodation, the apartment retains a strong sense of openness and calm, with each space oriented toward the view beyond.

Contrast plays a central role in the detailing. Materials and finishes were selected to create depth and articulation, moving from more raw, robust textures through to refined and minimal surfaces. This layered approach establishes a dynamic yet restrained interior language that feels crisp and confident, without losing its sense of ease.

The result is a residential interior that feels generous, composed and deeply liveable. A compact apartment transformed into a genuine home, one that exceeds expectations while remaining grounded in comfort and clarity.
