Curraweena House
The renovation and new additions to this heritage-listed Late Federation home were approached with a deep respect for the original architecture, allowing the historic fabric to transition naturally into contemporary living spaces. From planning through to completion, the challenge lay in honouring the past while confidently introducing new layers, all within a cohesive design framework.
At the front of the house, formerly formal rooms were reimagined as lively family spaces through a considered approach to adaptive reuse. These areas now reflect the personalities of the owners, bringing energy and warmth back into the heart of the home. A carefully balanced palette of materials and finishes establishes a fresh, light-filled interior, with subtle layers of detail that support a modern family lifestyle while remaining sympathetic to the home’s origins.
The result is a residential interior that bridges heritage and contemporary design with clarity and ease, creating spaces that feel both enduring and quietly refreshed.
